Pretty underwhelming. The guacamole was good, and the 3 salsas in the trio were decent. The quesaburria was a complete miss though. Very tough, and overly salted. The portion size was smaller than I was expecting for $18 too. I can’t say we’ll be back.
We come here often but haven’t for a while due to travel. Came back to all new faces and I must say wow!!!! We were met with smiling faces and an upbeat atmosphere! It was amazing. EJ was attentive, fun, and that made us move from the table to the bar. There was a newness about Bellota that wasn’t as tense as we remember. We came back on yesterday and sat on the patio. Fast service and the young lady Bri was helpful, nice, and very quick. I loved how every worker there came and check on us. Best kept secret in boulder!
Best shrimp taco i have ever had to date! Service was friendly, effcient, with quality check ins about how the food was. Atmosphere enjoyable and relaxed. If you want a different spin on mexican food i highly recommend!
The mushroom vegan tacos were yummy! They cooked them very well but they were a little messy. I asked for hot sauce and they gave me a sauce they called the black sauce, it was very different than any sauce I’ve ever tried before. This is why I’m rating them 5, I love hot sauces and this one was one of a kind
Incredible service and cool/chill vibes. Authentic menu - everything we had was delicious from the salad, esquites, tacos, enchiladas, and churros. The house marg is maybe my favorite in town and the mezcal list is extensive and curated - with the authentic Oaxacan candle shot glasses! Prices are more than reasonable. Also, there is a great kids menu! Even my daughter's quesadilla was delicious! We will be back. And check out the happy hour!
The drinks are great and the service is always wonderful. The food is okay, but there are notable highlights, including the beans, salsas, broccoli appetizer, and enchiladas. Overall, a solid pick for when you need a a quick bite and good marg in North Boulder.
Best Mexican food in Boulder County. Overall, one of the most underrated restaurants in the area. If you’re still hesitant, try hem out during happy hour from 4:30-5:30 pm. My only complaints are that I wish it opened just a tad bit earlier and that they had more flexibility on their Mezcal flight options.
